Without the loyal following of our audience members none of what we do would be possible. Now is your opportunity to join us on our journey to secure our future by becoming a Friend of OBS and secure the performance and appreciation of JS Bach for future generations.

Founded in January 2015, Oxford Bach Soloists has been catapulted among the top ensembles in Oxford with one clear, simple aim: to perform the complete vocal works of JS Bach.

Drawing from an abundance of local Oxford talent, Oxford Bach Soloists provides the next generation of young soloists, many of whom hold choral and organ scholarships at the University’s college chapels, with the opportunity to collaborate with a professional baroque orchestra.

In concerts and workshops, the Oxford Bach Soloists gives performers and listeners the chance to learn about the best music of the Western heritage, and preserve this unique art form.

Over the next 12 years, the Oxford Bach Soloists will perform the complete vocal works of JS Bach. Featuring singers and players of all ages, the Oxford Bach Soloists has constructed a pathway for professional development and inspiration that secures this unique art form for the future.

Working together with Professors from the University of Oxford’s Faculties of Music, Theology, and Modern Languages, the Oxford Bach Soloists provides a laboratory for current research, and knowledge exchange.

Your support as our Friend will enable historians and scholars to discover more about Bach’s music and influence, nurture the next generation of outstanding performers, and preserve this unique art form with integrity, performing in a regular cycle throughout the year.

We are asking our founding members to give a minimum donation of £80 in 2017, and we sincerely hope that you will be one of them. Your gift will go towards the funding of the Oxford Bach Soloists: the choir, the orchestra, the administrative support, the educational projects, music lessons, language coaching sessions, tours and recordings, and special projects.
